A working week has past since I arrived in Singapore. From Tuesday to Friday, I followed Chinese classes in the morning. So it seems a nice moment to update you on what it’s like.
Every morning, I arrive at the teaching location at 9 AM for four hours of Chinese classes.
The class is very mixed. Out of some 25 people, six are Japanese, a number come from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Europe is represented by Norway, Netherlands (only me), Germany, France and Switzerland. As it’s a language course, there are more women than men; often the young wives of newly arrived expats – while the expats have to start their job, they had to quit theirs and many take the opportunity to do courses or volunteer work.
