It doesn't seem real now that after 5 years and 3 months I will finally have to hand in my OV card and end my status as a student. And though my start in Singapore will be with studying Chinese, the framing is really different - the job and 'regular life' is very close by.

I remember at the start of my third year, I was first confronted with fellow students about to start their thesis. At that moment I really couldn't imagine finishing my studies, giving up the freedom and work all day. But it seems that I've grown into that role. While I enjoyed the freedom and surely made use of it, there is also the feeling that I want to show I can make it work in practice. No longer theoretic discussions about cases, but having to do with reality, which may be more complex or boring, which may last longer than the 2 months a course takes. And in which success and failure are not as predictable as studying your exam and passing.
